What paying with plastic says about you

http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/personalfinance/2014/08/28/paying-with-cash-or-credit-millennial...

Interesting article on the trend shift on how people prefer to pay for small ticket items.

What do you use to pay for things less than $5?

Me personally, I use credit for everything. It doesn't matter to me if it's only 20 cents, I swipe for the cashback rewards.

I use credit pretty much any place I can.   I like rewards and I hate dealing with change.

Re: What paying with plastic says about you

Interesting. As a :"Baby boomer" I would agree. At one time merchants did not take charges for under $10 so it was a good idea to carry pocket change. Truth I like the convenience of not carrying a lot of cash. Also I am not inclined to use debit cards since I can generate rewards and don't have to remember to enter the debit card expense in the checkbook.

Re: What paying with plastic says about you

Yep, I also use cards for just about everything. As was mentioned, it is more secure, rewards are great, I have to find a way to rotate all my cards, ur not carrying a lot of greenbacks, and change is annoying (not to mention it all stinks something fierce). I need change even less nowa days since all the new meters and vending machines take cards as well ha
