Now when you provide documents, the agencies have to forward that material to the creditor, letting you state your full case.

Think the comments nailed it: I'm not certain I see much benefit in this.  More paperwork shuffling for it to wind up in a different pile... though in the instance of a legit error, it'll help the process, I'm just not certain what the percentage of legit vs. frivolous disputes is.
