Found a $51 collection on CR. Called the collection agency, the lady was very polite with me. had 2 collections one for 1700 and 51. Told her I could only pay the 51 she didnt hound me about the 1700, she was understanding, said she will have the 51 deleted from my CR. Been paying down the CC's seen my fico go up 9 points at 498 now.

I'm up for the challenge. Tired of having bad credit.

I would recommend that you cancel your subscription with Truecredit as soon as possible. I had the same problem. I enrolled my husband with Truecredit and their scores were impressive-- the highest was Transunion's for 678! I was curious so we dedided to pull his Transunion credit score from here on Myfico.com. There was a major HUGE difference by like 45-50 points. Truecredit's credit scores are FAKE and is not accurate. Myfico is the best and most accurate. Hope that helped!

I second that response and have proof. In February I bought my scores from trucredit and my fico. Huge difference! Even when I applied for my secured visa my bank was like no they aren't as high as they've(Trucredit) reported ;( The truth hurts but is necessary for improvement Good Luck!!

Couldn't think of a better way to join this site than having my first post be taking on the FICO Fitness Challenge!
I've been a member of MYFico for a few years but haven't been here since 2008.
So, today, pulled my reports Annulcreditreports; signed up for ScoreWatch and FICO Quarterly Monitoring. Whew!
I am hopeful to reach my target score pretty soon.
BK to be off my CR reports in Aug, 2010.
Paid off 99% my credit cards as of yesterday (was at 14% usasge). Next month, the last 1% will be paid off.
All that I will be left with is my new car installment loan that was approved last Nov, at 1.9%.
Am I doing good??!!
Wishing everyone lots of encouragement to reach your goals as well!

I just have quick question. When you buy your fico score is the price for the full year or for the month.
The score and report purchase ($15.95 before any discounts) is good for that day only. It's a snapshot in time of what your report looks like at that moment.
