I am starting this now, so my goal is for the end of 2012. I dont know where to begin, so I'll do some research first to see what I need to tackle.

my score went up a little this month, TU went from 730 to 732 and EQ went from 768 to 773, My 800 goal I hope will be there in 2012. I remember when i pulled my report all the time when I was just over 600 and now I am doing it again!

What are GW and DV and CA letters? I'm working to get my 630 to 725. I'd love any advice.

Welcome to the forums!
I'd suggest reading the following:
Common Abbreviations
Credit Scoring 101 - great for knowing what is in your credit score and to see how your score is impacted.
What Steps Do I Take - great for learning the repair process.
and Example letters - PFDs, GWs, DVs, etc.
Take your time and try to get your bearings here. All the available information can seem a little overwhelming at first but if you go slow and read and research and ask a lot of questions you'll soon get the hang of it. Most of us here (if not all of us) have had credit problems so you're not likely to ask something that can't be answered.
The Rebuilding Your Credit board is an excellent place to start but you're welcome to peruse and contribute in any board you wish.
From a BK years ago to:
EX - 3/11 pulled by lender- 835, EQ - 2/11-816, TU - 2/11-782
"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they've made a difference. The Marines don't have that problem".

Thank you! That was great reading. I can't wait to put some of those ideas and samples to work for me.

Well Im new here (1st post) and have been reading alot all day. Not much time left for this year so much as another poster by scores
TU 632
EQ 641
EX 657
Horrid scores so I want to at least get them moving up.
My goals for 2112 will be to hit 700 as I think that is reasonable?

Hello and welcome to the forums.
Your scores might not be as bad as you think. Unless those are pulled by a lender they are probably not FICO scores. There is no 3 in 1 monitoring service that sell all 3 FICO's.
One thing I will ask is where did you get your scores? No one has been able to buy their own Experian FICO score since February of 2009. Creditors can pull Experian and also there is a CU (PSECU) in Pennsylvania that supplies that information to it's members only. You can only buy true FICO scores at a few places. One place is here at myFICO.
At one time you could also purchase your Transunion score at transunioncs.com but that site seems to have stopped doing that. Wal Mart now offers a TU score to those who have their store card and the Discover version.
Equifax will still sell you a FICO score found here: www.equifax.com/web-myfico-products/

the equfax I got from https://www.econsumer.equifax.com
experian from https://experian.experiandirect.com
Transunion from https://truecredit.transunion.com
Hope im not breaking any rules posting those. I found those searching from each one and thought they were the actual CRA sites?

myFICO is the consumer division of FICO.
