2 Questions

Hello everyone,

TU-678
EQ-662
EX-647

I am new to the forums and would like to ask a couple of questions.

1.  Is it a bad thing to apply for a credit card when I just made a dispute with all 3 CRAs?

2.  Once the CRAs have responded to the disputes, when does the dispute officially end.

I have heard that it is not a good idea to apply for any type of credit while you have an ongoing dispute.

Thanks in advance for any info that you all can provide.

One more question.

Will the tax lien below fall off of my CR in Jan. of 2008?  I was under the impression that liens remain on the CR for 7 years after the date of release.  What does the status date of 11/2003 represent?

State tax lien released filed on Jan 11, 2001
Court of law       Not reported
Case number    XXXXXXX
Date filed           Jan 11, 2001
Status               Not on Record
Status date       11/2003
Amount             $566
Plaintiff              Not reported
Defendant         Not reported

Re: 2 Questions

The dispute at the top of my post is over a lien that was filed in error and should be taken off immediately.

The lien at the bottom of my post for $566 is paid off and shows released on my CR.

Re: 2 Questions

Thanks tm!  Any advice on applying for a credit card with a dispute in progress?  Does it even matter with credit cards?
