I've been using Score Watch for over 2 1/2 years and have never really done anything to try and improve my CR (because I didn't really think it was possible). I've spent around eight hours reading over the forums the past five days, which is time well invested. The most my score has ever gone up at one time from not doing anything is 18.
I have no idea though what caused it to jump up so much. I called my CU yesterday afternoon and asked them to delete a few 30 day late payments during 03, 04 and 05. The guy gave me a hard time and didn't really promise to remove it, but I'm wondering if that would have been what caused it to go up so much? If they removed the lates today/yesterday would it have gone up that fast?
My wife disputed three baddies the other day online, but I'm not sure which CRA it was with. Will I need to buy another CR to see who it was? I subscribe to ScoreWatch and Suze Orman here, Privacy Matters 123, and TrueCredit (just TU with them).
It's amazing how good it feels to see my score jump like that, especially how sh&#%y I've felt about my credit the past seven years. I just wanted to thank everyone here for all of your help.
