+52....then -52 on EQ in the same day

Received a score alert today from score watch, I had a 52 point increase.  I went from 630 to 682.  When I got home I wanted to see my updated credit report.  Pulled my EQ report from myfico, my score was back at 630.

Didn't see any difference in my credit reports, I even called myfico and the guy couldn't see any new negative items.  Everything he named, has been on my report.  I'm at a lost.

I almost jumped out of my seat when I seen the +52.  Then I see -52 when i get home.

Talk about raining on my parade.  Thanks for any input....

Look at the dates of those alerts, not when you received them, but the date the alert was based on. Both DW and I went trough the same thing and after SW's snafu, we found that they are back-logged in sending the alerts.

I do not know if its a joke but this has happened to me several times..But, in particular when I have a big purchase on my CCard. My score jumps significantly then in a few days it plummets back to earth.

Its crazy how this credit scoring works...

Re: +52....then -52 on EQ in the same day

It was crazy...I mean I was at work and got the alert....checked my email and saw +52 on equifax score.  I logged in and sure enough my score went from 630 to 682.  I went home to pull a current report (within 30-40 minutes)...logged in and It was back down to 630.

Spoke with a guy from myfico (who was very helpful by the way) he couldnt see what caused it to go down.  Needless to say I was disappointed, my goal was 700 club by the end of the year.  That would have put me way ahead of the game.  JUst hope it doesn't go down.  I haven't been late, so I'm not worried about that.
