DOFD 6/2003 - should drop no later than 7.5 years from then so 12/2010

BTW, you get a grace on med collections with most mortgage lenders.... they do not have to be paid  off to get the mortgage; and since this is already almost 5 years old - really not hurtiing you trememdously.

Thanks Lady_Scarlet!
Don't they determine your rate by the average FICO score though?
Cause if they do then it won't matter whether it's a med bill or some other one.

And if they don't look at the score, what would be my best move to fix it anyway? Are there any chances or I'm pretty much doomed until 2010?

Most companies use you MID score.

Beware- EQ used DOLA for removal dates

I would dispute this either way.
