Chase, Citi, AMEX, and even PenFed PreQual showed me nothing. I felt downright insulted when US BANK offered me a US Bank Contour prepaid.
I just feel like i'm getting nowhere fast...

Remember, pre qual isn't everything. I was not pre qual'd for any of my cards, plus a pre qual can still mean denial. And don't feel insulted by US Bank. I was just approved for an AMEX with a 742 FICO, and my offer from them is also the Contour card. Just laugh it off, garden those new TLs for at least six months, and then see where you stand at. Smiley Happy

You have 3 years of no lates, 2 derogs, and new credit. I have scores above 790 and I would still be turned down for new credit alone.  New credit is a signal that you may be building up credit and then filing for bankruptcy.  Everyone is a lot more cautious right now and they're going to see whe you'll do with your new credit.

Be patient, go to the garden and let the derogs fall off.

This, and personally I wouldn't recommend PFD for you right now as it appears you are already carrying credit card debt on several of your cards.  Pay down your balances, garden, and then once you get the money PFD if that is important to you.
