700 club means nothing

I finally hit over 700. Ex is 703, eq is 704 and tu is 714. Sad thing I have to many inquiries. 19, 33 and 40. My score is not good to anybody. I rather have 650 with 3 inqs. That is what I mean 700 is nothing. I only have myself to blame for trying so hard to build credit with history. Just when I hit 700 on all 3 and can't app on anything. Sad sad sad.

40 inqueries at 1 CRA...sounds like you have been apping too much...JMHO! Most inqueries I've ever seen at 1 CRA on my report was 6, which is why I went into garden.

Re: 700 club means nothing

Your scores are fine and your inqs don't mean much. Have you guys missed members here with well over 150 inqs across all reports with a half million or more in trade lines?
OP sounds like you're trying to force those approvals. Give it a rest for a while and let your CRs cool off. In six months, you'll be good to go. It's really not that difficult.

You'll realize soon enough those inqs don't hold water. Lol

Re: 700 club means nothing

You sound as impatient as me.  I went through 20 credit cards in 2 1/2 years.  Have 9 now.  Stay in the garden and watch your score grow while your inquiries fall off.  I have 5 inquiries left.  4 fall off by April, the last in October.  My credit score is 782 and I am proud of it.  I really don't need another credit card but the challenge is addictive.  I've got twice as much revolving credit than my yearly income.  I would rather be in the 700s and have many inquiries than be in the 600s with few.  Just stay in the garden a while.

Re: 700 club means nothing

You just have to be patient now and let time be your ally! For now just go for SP CLI rush wherever you can. My last INQ Jan st. TU for BOA CLI.  I have 13 INQ Ex (3 total 2016 last one 9-2016) 9 INQ TU and 4INQ EQ. I know I'm done for the year and I'm targeting only SP for CLI JET BLue in march 1st and 3X SP CLI AMEX in May.

AAOA 3 years 3% Util $207,000 total CL.

Re: 700 club means nothing

Why would you do that? It's a SP. They'll either give you one or deny it.

Amex doesn't care about inquries. I just got an auto CLI from them with 21 inquries on my Experian. From 3k to 9k without even asking.

Re: 700 club means nothing

I had a 720 and was approved by chase for 40k? BofA for 8k?, NFCU for 20k? And blispay (at the time) for $4.4k?.

I had 60+ inq on EX, 55+ on TU, 50+ on EQ... it's not the Inq as Gmood said, you just have to time it correctly.

Just let your inquries age and they'll stop impacting your score and mattering within a year, probably less.  On the time line of credit which is very long, inquiry aging is an extremely short amount of time compared to many other factors that can hold back a score for significantly longer.
