What about payday loans from Check into cash or one of those places before outrageous fees? Not as much $ as once, but more manageable?

I actually went to a payday loan and the most they give is $255 and a payback of 300. which obviously sucks too but is helpful. however, i cannot pay that back with a credit card so i need cash in my account

At the credit unions I started asking for 5k, but then the last few i started asking for 1000 to hope that would be low enough...no luck

Do you live in California? If so you can look up Progresso Financia. It's a California based company that loans 2500 or so. There are about $100 in fees and the intrest rate is about 30%. I think it ends up making the loan a little more than $3100. Not as bad as 7000 and your score would probably qualify you. However they are only located in CA.

AWESOME>>> Look up Progresso Financiero. They were great for my sister and they report to credit bureaus like a regular personal loan. They do check 3 refrences and do extensive phone calls with them. That's how I know about it because I was a reference for my sister. There are locations in San Diego.

I think it is marketed for hispanics but I am sure they cannot discriminate against you if you are not. My sister is caucasian and she has a loan with them.
