I disputed a couple accounts with EX-a Cap1 chargeoff that's reporting inaccurately and a medical collection (SOL has expired on both). 2 days later, I got my results back saying verified. Cap 1 updated at the same time, but it's still not reporting correctly.
My questions
1) It is my understanding that under the FCRA, when I dispute an item, the CRA has to conduct a "reasonable reinvestigation to determine whether the information is inaccurate..." Would you consider a 2 day investigation reasonable?
2) The medical collection said verified, but the date last reported did not change. Shouldn't it have changed if it was truly investigated?
3) Should I ask for MOV on these disputes?
Now for the PFD. I sent out a PFD on a medical collection a little over a month ago. Since it was only $56, I offered to PIF. I haven't heard anything back from them.
My question
1) Should I send another letter or try going to the OC?
