A few ?'s Best move to make...

Under Accounts I have

1 line of credit CL 2450, currently reported as 2,352, opened in 10/07.
1 charge account CL 700, current balance 90, opened in 1/08.
1 utility collection for 86 opened 11/04.

Under Collection

Crd Prt Asso, Comcast, DLA 5/1/05, amount 176.

I sent PFD to comcast. They never contacted me back and I never paid but they deleted.

As you can tell my credit is new. I was so excited when I could actually pull my credit online.
My scores are 602TU,  613EQ, no score so far for experian

So my questions: First off when should I be able to see a score for experian? Why is the utility collection under account and not collections? Is it because it's still with the utility companys internal collection? On TU status reports as closed and collection, on EQ status reports as open and 120+ days late. I need to leave it on my credit because it is my oldest account. Whats the best way to pay it and make it look good? Or should I just leave it alone?

BTW we got this debt when my husband was in basic for the Army. We moved to our first duty station and just never paid last months utilities. It is on my hubbies credit too.

Re: A few ?'s Best move to make...

IMO  you already started off wrong.

It looks like comcast isn't reporting....it is being reported by a CA.

You DV a CA.....and you should always DV before any thought of a PFD!

An OC always stays under accounts....even when closed or collections. Only a CA list under collections.

send a DV to the CA    and after they answer (within 30 days)  send a PFD

Your UTIL is too high on the CC  you need to get total UTIL under 9%

Comcast was being reported by a CA, which is who I sent the PFD too. Sorry I didn't say that before. I don't really understand DV that well. I know my util is too high. The line of credit is from some books we be bought. We pay so much for so many months. We plan on paying them down to about 35% in June though. The Charge account is the only actually CC I have.

DV basically is your right to make a CA prove

1) The debt is yours
2) The debt is valid
3) They have the right to collect on the debt
4) They are properly licensed in your state to conduct business

From the way I see it.
