AAMS (UPDATE: HOLY COW!)

Has anyone had any experience with them?

I have been sending them GWs for months now with absolutely no response. The collection was sold to them earlier this year, right before I paid it off (pre--myFico). I have no problem sending them GWs every month but I would appreciate any responses regarding your experience with them.

Thanks!

Wisdom doesn't automatically come with old age. Nothing does - except wrinkles. It's true, some wines improve with age... but only if the grapes were good in the first place.

No, it seems as though those guys are based out of Canada.

This is the only info I know on the AAMS that has my collection:

AAMS
(515) 225-0525
4800 Mills Civic Pkwy
West Des Moines, IA

I just found that website, I love how they try to make themselves sound so classy...PUH-LEEZE. You are a collection agency aka scum....

"Company Overview

AAMS has been providing collection and billing services exclusively for the healthcare industry since 2001, and specializes in managing second-placement accounts.  Our goal is to remain among the best in the nation at managing the Midwest's accounts receivable needs."

EDITED TO ADD: OMG go look at the tab that says "PHILOSOPHY"...give me a break. I have sent you people 4 GW letters with absolutely no response.

Re: AAMS

Update: I sent an email to an "Account Specialist" at AAMS last Wednesday and after a week I still hadn't gotten a response. So today, I sent an email to the COO. Assuming I dont get a response, where do I go from there?

I hate this stupid collection!!

Should I try GW the OC or not even bother?

Re: AAMS

hmmm 'healthcare' industry.  If this was a medical collection after some time in 2003 you have HIPAA on your side.  If so, don't bother with repeating the unresponded to GW letters.  Search these boards and google for whychat HIPAA .

Re: AAMS

SmartCookie--I found the thread Tuscani did on whychat and HIPAA, it appeared to me that it wasn't applicable in my situation as I have already paid the CA?
