Hi all,
I have an account with Household Finance (HSBC) and the local branch closed. I received a letter in the mail that my account is now with Beneficial.
Now that the account has been transferred (my question is they do not state closed in the letter), will the Household Finance account now appear as closed and will it appear that a new account has been opened (Beneficial)? They are/were both part of the HSBC Group.
Will the history of the HFC account just move over to the Beneficial account (8 years) or is is going to look like the Beneficial account has only been opened for one month on my January/February credit report?
I really need to close this high interest bugger anyway but the payment history is perfect.
