I sent out my OC and DV letters last week, including a pretty harsh one to Experian threatening them with legal action if they did not either correct or fix Collection Data on a tradeline I have disputed twice, first time they 'verified', second time they said I was frivolous. So now I have a Collection I paid in August that is listed as;
1) In Collections as of 9 through 12 '07
2) 90+ Days late as recently as 12/07
3) Past Due and Balance both listed as 'Not Reported'.
To my mind that is horribly irresponsible when you have disputed it.
Anyway, a little nervous some of these creditors might do some reprisal reporting, that is report to agencies that they WEREN'T on just to be petty, and/or try to sue. I am STILL trying to get a firm answer on whether paying a CA constitutes re-setting SOL in NYC.
Keep your fingers crossed, the next month should be quite interesting.
