Re: Anyone ever dealt with a group called Legal Mediation Practices?

I did a google search on them and came up with other forums discussing them.   Their  problems with them stem from defaulted Pay Day Loans.   Are threating legal action based on fraudlent checks.

Don't know if this hits close to home or not.   Have you done any payday loans or internet payday loans?

They seem to be very harrassing and in most cases in violation of the FDCA.

Yes Boswd,

That does "ring a bell" loud and clear.
Thank you for doing the googling (I guess I could have done that, but I now come here first for info) You guys are so informative and I feel I can trust you all.
I did take out a payday loan a while back and to be honest I forgot about it. (after I defaulted and the calls from the place where I got it quit calling) Geeesh!!! I am such an idiot.
Okay, so I have not been contacted again since the call at work, so my plan today will be to call the home office of the original loan (ACE cash express) and talk to them about it.(or should I?)
From the forums mentioning this company, it sounds like they themselves are not cooperative when it comes to giving their mailing address over the phone (isn't that interesting seeing as they wanted me to give them my SSN over the phone)!!!
What do you guys think I should do?

I would clear this matter up ASAP,  I do believe this can fall under fraudlent checks, which is not good and legal action can come out of it.    Call the ACE and go from there.

I agree with Boswd. Make contact with them, and you can start negotiating with them from that point.

Re: Anyone ever dealt with a group called Legal Mediation Practices?

HI.  I am new to this website and I searched for information on Legal Mediation Practice.  Can you tell me anything about them?   I received a terrible call at work today tell me I had until 2pm EST to pay a balance in full or they would seek me at my place of employment and/or home.   I am scared to death.  I am a single parent and do not know what to do.

The outstanding debt is a 'payday loan' that I totally forgot.  I asked for them to make arrangemets with me and they said no!  I have not been contacted by the loan company.   I have had several calls where I get a message 'this is ?? call us back today  - good luck!"  no name, business name, etc.  I haven't not returned these calls as I have no idea who they were.  Very hateful messages and this gentleman was awful.   if you have any input I would greatly appreciate it.   I am in Oklahoma.
I have about 2 hours now before my time is up with these people if they are legitimate.

HELP.
THANKS

Re: Anyone ever dealt with a group called Legal Mediation Practices?

I took out a loan with WebPayday and defaulted.

Once I started my new job I called WebPayday to pay. WebPayday told me the account was with AIS and I had to call AIS to pay. (By the way AIS reported me to the CRA's). AIS told me if I wanted to make a payment I needed to call Legal Mediation. So I called and paid legal mediation in full and they have not reported back to the 1st CA which is AIS services. AIS will not delete it from my file without my payment being posted to my account. It has been over two weeks and Legal Mediation has not posted! The two CA will not talk to each other and AIS insists I get with Legal Mediation and find out why it has not been posted. Legal Mediation keeps giving me the runaround. I also have a copy of my bankstatement but AIS said they must here it from Legal Mediation. They never sent me the reciept they promised either! Somebody please help!
