Applying for a credit card and a car loan

from the same company a month apart, would that be too soon and hurt changes of approval?

Re: Applying for a credit card and a car loan

Shouldn't hurt you unless you're in a situation of weak credit or abusing their credit card or car loan. And if they already pulled your credit for one then you might want to call or go in and ask if they need to pull it again or if they can use the same report.

But they may have different divisions like Wells Fargo and Wells Fargo Financial who are then even separated after that into car, homes, credit cards. All different and all have to pull a report.

Find out how they're set up and go from there, may be the best option. If they're completely separate then it's like dealing with different companies.

I hope that came out right...
