Auth for Hard Inquiries...

Are any type of Hard Inquiries that are required to get a signed authorization to pull your report?

I am just starting to dispute some I didn't authorize and was wondering what my options were if they refuse to remove them.

thanks,

Re: Auth for Hard Inquiries...

You consent electronically by applying online for credit cards. So, a signed signature isn't always required per say... or when applying for a credit card over the phone - you give them verbal permission.

From my experiences, it's usually best to send a letter to the company who placed the INQ and request them to either provide proof that you requested something from them or to remove the INQ from your reports..
