If I am an au on my wife's account and she removes me, will the prior history still continue to be reported?

When I closed an account. The history still shows in my AU's accounts.

i'm not sure that is the answer to OP's question.  From my experience if the account is open and they remove you, I lost the account off my credit.  YMMV

Depends on how the creditor handles it.  In some cases the tradeline is removed.  In some cases the tradeline is left on the report(s).
