Bank Of America Fico Score

I haven't heard of any free fico score yet since Bank of America announced it would be offering them to credit card holders. That is one of the reasons I even have a card with them. Has anyone else had any luck getting information about when they will do this. End of the year is coming up fast.

I recall receiving a promo email from BofA about upcoming FICO score availability, but not a whole lot of info in it...just basically the pre-announcement to the announcement. Since then, nada...zip...zilch.  Nothing on my login to my BofA accounts either.  Perhaps it will come sometime next year.

ETA:  A quick Google search came up with several entries that stated it would be offered to certain cardholders, presumably meaning that it would not generically be available at the BofA site.  Sounds like something similar to Chase and the Slate card being the only place currently at Chase to get the FICO score. Too bad they aren't considering the same thing as Citi, Discover, etc.

Did they say they would offer one by the end of the year?

Re: Bank Of America Fico Score

I joined BofA this past year and got 2 cards of theirs partially because of the news that they would have free FICO scores by EOY.  I'm hoping they follow through.  I've tweeted at a number of their accounts and not gotten a response.  I haven't seen any news  that contradicts that they intend to offer it by EOY, but it seems like there would be something official by now about who would get them and when.  A bit frustrating to wait with no info.

Re: Bank Of America Fico Score

I agree.  If they really are going to release a free FICO by year's end (as they promised they would nine months ago) they certainly should have given the press another update by Sept confirming that it really was in the works.

My hope is that it is a "classic" FICO 8 score (as opposed to the Bankcard Enhanced version that Citi gives its customers).  And since I already am getting the Experian FICO 8 through Chase and Amex I have a selfish desire that they'll use Equifax or TransUnion for their CRA.  (I don't have a Discover or Barclays or I'd have the TU.)

If anybody hears any news in the next five weeks, please let us know!

Re: Bank Of America Fico Score

I tried to call customer service and couldn't get past a foreign person who clearly didn't know what i was talking about. She put me on hold 3 times and then hung up on me lol. So i'm just going to suck it up and get a walmart or barclays in the next few months. I can't believe first premier bank has a fico score for free and bank of america hasn't caught on yet and they are supposed to be a prime lender (depending on who you ask i guess).

Re: Bank Of America Fico Score

Just got off the phone with BofA and they said they got word of it yesterday (Dec 1st 2015). According to their internal update, FICO scores will be available on the lower right hand side of the account page, as an opt-in button, starting December 7th 2015. We will have to opt-in for the score to be available. She said it will most likely be TransUnion but didn't know for sure. Also, don't yet know which version and flavor of FICO either. Assuming FICO 8 Classic.

Hope this helps/turns out to be true.

Re: Bank Of America Fico Score

Thanks for the update.  I was starting to think it would be a pilot with a long roll out like Amex.

I am probably in the minority, but I am hoping for a TU-08 BE.  I already have a Barclay and Discover TU-08 classic score.

Re: Bank Of America Fico Score

Back with updates. It is December 7th today and - as BofA told me - the score should be there. It is not. Called again and talked to an online banking specialist who was very nice at explaining how it works:

The FICO score is an opt-in feature that will show on the desktop version in the Activity Center on the right hand side (where you see the Alerts, Bill Pay, Transfers, Messages, etc.) BofA has partnered with TransUnion for this score so it will be the TransUnion FICO score, though she had no information on WHICH particular model and flavor of the TU FICO score. Now, it's being rolled out in waves. Apparently, the first wave is today and it includes bank employees - so if any bank employee can please confirm they have the Enroll button? The second wave will happen on January 6th 2016 and will include a few states among which Georgia and Pennsylvania. She said there will be more than two states, but only those two states are listed. The third wave will be rolled out for all customers by end of 2016Q1. That's by the end of March 2016.

Hope this helps, though it's not the good news I was expecting Smiley Sad

Re: Bank Of America Fico Score

@CreditDunce: Yeah, I also wish it's not the Classic flavor. Some Bank Enhanced or even Auto Enhanced (though 0 chance for it). I get the Classic scores from other sources, so a little diversity will really help Smiley Happy
