I belong to two credit unions the one paying 1.25 and 2.50cd is consumerscu.org the one paying high rate on checking,club amd mma is 1stcomm.org

Looks like the CD rates have dropped significantly and must meet too many requirements to get that 1% checking rate. But I wouldn't be eligible anyways because the membership eligibility is pretty limited. Thanks anyway.

I just checked BankRate and looks like CiTBank is paying 1.05% APY but with a min. balance of $25,000 (and 0.90% if less than $25k). (bankoncit.com)

Flagstar Bank a michigan bank is paying 0.75% on a savings account with MIn $25,000 balance and for 4 months it hasan intro rate of 1.15% go to Flagstar Bank.com for details

I've had ING Direct bank for 3 years. I have their Orange Savings account, thinking of also adding the Electric Orange checking to my list too. I haven't had any problems to date with them. When I first signed up, they had a really good APR but now its around .80% but its still much better than the banks. No minimum required. I left BofA due to their low ball interest rates. The only down side to online banking is that your money isn't instantly available for withdrawal whenever. Have to wait at least 2 days for the transfer to take affect.

If you live in michigan you can join LAke Michigan Credit Union any michigan resident can join. They pay 3.00% apy on their max chaecking, just you must have directdeposit, use debit card 10 times a month , do 4 login to online banking. and estatement. I know it sounds like a lot but that's the most anybody is paying right noe. you also get a $15.00 monthly atm fee rebate eiththat account. go to      WWW. LMCU.ORG for details

Anyonr can join lake michigan cu I read but you have to join some als association  of west michigan if you are not in credit union charter area and print out form and mail to them with a fee.visit lmcu.org 3.00% apy even with all thr requrements you can't beat that with no mininum balance
