Both a judgment and a collection for the same thing on my credit report?

There is both a judgement and collection on my credit report for the same account. Both are listing as closed/paid but I thought they could only list the item once. Can I dispute this as a duplicate item or are they allowed to put a debt on there twice? I need to know before I dispute bc I can't get a home loan from FHA with an unresolved dispute on my credit.

No, they are separate items.

One is a collection from a collection agency, the other is a Public Record due to a judgment.

Both are valid entries.

+1

They can both be posted to your CR as they are different items.  Also, the OC could be listed so there could be a total of 3 listings for the same TL.

Thank you. That seems so unfair but I guess that's what you get.
