CC Aging

Hello, I was issued a CC 12/2006.  When I run my credit reports the card is listed as new.  How long do I have to have the CC before it's not considered new credit?  I think because the card is only a year old it might be hurting my scores.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: CC Aging

This card will help your scores if you keep your uti low 10%. What's your uti on the card? It should be helping more than hurting, regardless of the age. Others with more personal experience will be able to assist.

Re: CC Aging

not sure I think I heard its less affect after 6 mos-but post accounts considerede new until 2 years old--I could be wrong but I know as long as UTI low they will work for the good and it will only get better as time passes by
