CHARGE OFF WITH A BALANCE?

I disputed the account and received this notice from my TRUECREDIT/TRANSUNION

An improvement to one of your accounts has appeared on your credit report.
Here are the details of this account improvement:

Reported By: TransUnion
Reported On: 11/14/2007
Date Opened or Reported: 11/13/2007
Account Number: ****
Account Balance: 0
Payment Status/Method of Payment: Collection/Chargeoff
Creditor's Name: CREDIT ONE BANK

Rechecked my profile and now got this tradeline

CREDITOR: CREDIT ONE BANK
Payment Status/Method of Payment: "PAID"
Balance: $654

I disputed and the OC stood still with their report, now I have the same information with additional: "Account disputed" notice as mandated by FCRA.

This amount has been sold to a collector, who is now completely PAID. I have send documentation to TU which I believe why they "reported" my account as $0. I do not know why CREDIT ONE BANK is reverifying my account with wrong balance.

Is there any law or case ruling which states a charge-off account or an account sold to a collection agency, or a paid collection or paid charge off should show $0.

This balance contributes to my "over all" balance.

Thanks for the advice.

Dispute the item stating the balance is zero.  If you just ordered the report, you should be able to do this online.
