They gave me some flowery letter about reporting etc... So now I am going to call Knology and see what they can do. Hopefully they just assigned it to CMI, and have not sold it to CMI. This debt was back in 2005. I have previously talked to Knology collections and the CSR told me that I could settle for half and they would tell CMI, but CMI would show it as paid and not delete. I am going up the chain and see what happens.
