Can AFNI report the same debt to my CR and DW CR?

AFNI is reporting the same debt on both of our CR's. They incremented the account number by one and slightly changed the amount by a couple of bucks.

Is this standard procedure? Is it even legal?

It is for Charter Communications. -Cable TV/Internet It was not a joint account ever.
What is the best way to get it corrected? DV? it is past SOL in NC and Texas.
Would I DV twice? Once for me and once for DW?
