Can anyone give me advice on how to get this corrected?

I know you all are tired of hearing about AFNI, Inc. but they are reporting a collection on my reports incorrectly. They are showing the account as being from 2007 and it's from 2003. How do I go about getting this corrected? This is how it's showing on all three:

Equifax:

Date of last activity [?] Apr, 2003
Largest past balance [?] $1,206
Credit Type [?] Open Account

Scheduled payment amount [?] $0

Experian:

Thanks in advance for any help!!

First thing I'd do is dispute this with all 3 CRB's. The reason is inaccurate or incomplete information.

Re: Can anyone give me advice on how to get this corrected?

I actually think this might be reporting correctly.  From what I can tell, it looks like the original account went to collections in 2006.  So the collections account was opened in 2006 even though this is in reference to an account that went into default in 2003.

I have similar issues with a collection on my CRs.  The CA is showing up as 2 years old even though it is from an account that went default in 2003.

The only silver lining to this is that the collections will drop off 7-7.5 years from the default date of the original account.

Any more experienced FICOers feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...
