I was looking into the Chase Sapphire today and thought about getting it. Went to my Cap 1 account and played with th credit simulator. It claims if I get 1 more inquiry, and a $6000 in credit, Id go from a 755 to a 722. Seems like a lot, how accurate is the tracker?

On another note, I have the venture card, got that last year, and a marriott card a few months ago. Im also looking into getting a home this year, so Ill have a mortage. Should i just wait to get another card?

Their simulator does not work.

The credit score they provide is fairly inaccurate either so you can disregard that as well...

Re: Cap 1 Credit Simulator?

The simulator does not work - at least for Fico scoring. I find the Credit Check Total and the MyFico simulators to be much more in line with Fico scores. CK uses VS - Vantage Score. If you plan to apply for a mortgage, it may be best to focus all of your attention there. A 15/30 year mortgage at the best rate will save you significantly more than adding a few grand in SL. If you do not have a pressing need for a new card, keep your file clean, Util down and do not add any more inq or cards until you sort it out.

Best of Luck!
