Hi all.
First, let me apologize for the newbie question, I've done a bunch of searches on this topic with assorted keywords and not found words of wisdom that make sense.
I've seen it recommended that you have the CRAs delete old/outdated name variations and addresses. Before I start disputing (yes, I am asking before I do, having learned my lesson):
1. I've lived in my house for 8 years.
2. My old addresses are correct.
3. My other names listed are correct but haven't been used in at least 17 years.
What is the wisdom/rationale for deleting old information? Is it necessary? Does it have any impact on FICO scores? Is deleting/changing a means of simplifying or something else?
Responses, public or private are much appreciated.
