Got an acct that was closed by credit grantor due to hardship.  Finished the pay plan and the acct is closed by credit grantor.  I get this email from them today after I made my payment.
 
Tell me what you think?  It is not a credit line increase, it is an upgrade to a visa gold.

If you really need a CC and cant get approved anywhere else then eat the $50 and upgrade it. I would however try to get another card.

 I just read on the Bud Hibbs website that this is a ploy that LVNV uses to snag you in and restart the sol clock.

You know what, this account is now reporting as open.  I was fine with them leaving it closed.  Anyway, I am not going to let them do this, why should I pay to upgrade when they offered it and I didn't ask?
