Hi, I have a judgment paid off but the creditors attorney will not send release letter. They say they sent one but if I want another one it will cost 500.00 filing fee??
Its a older Atlantic Credit, The atty is George Cohn in LA ca.

As stated above you just need to go to the court who had jurisdiction over the judgment and get the release from them. I don't know how it might be in your area but in my county everything is available on-line. If you don't know the case # you can just type in the name of one of the participating parties and it will show all the info. If it has been recent then the on-line data may not show up yet. Our court lags by about 2 weeks to 30 days.
