Collection company reporting the same account twice! Is this allowed?
Hello. I have a medical collection in the amount of $106.00 thats been on my credit report since 2008. The problem is about a week ago the same collection agency posted the exact same collection on my report with the exact first delinquency date and also from the same medical firm. The only difference is the amount is now $107.00 and this collection has no account number! I contacted the agency and they were rude and also claimed that they didn't know anything about the account for $107 and they also claimed the it must have been a mistake from the reporting agency when the information clearly says that it came from their firm!......It has their address and phone number!!!!......I contacted equifax and they told me that it definately was reported from that collection agency! I filed a dispute but won't know anything til about 30 days.

Before you app think... Have you done your research of the CC? Does it fit your spending? Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt? Can you afford the AF? Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
