We can. I talked to the guy and paid off the collection in FULL not the settlement amount.. He told me it would be off my report within a month. So goode luck to everyone out there.
You may have gotten lucky this time, but remember to always get it in writing. CA are slimy slimy people and they'll tell you anything to get your money.
