You are making an incorrect conclusion. They DID NOT go to the acr website.

What would make you come to that conclusion? How can the other people responding think that?

They pulled reports through their system, which show as inquiries through each of the CRAs that were used. If they only pulled a report that used EQ data, then it shows an inq on EQ. If they pulled a report that used TU data, then it shows as an inq on TU. If you have inquiries on both, they pulled reports from both.

JM-AM,

Take another look at the post. You know better than this.......

As Guiness mentioned, inquiries weren't mentioned at all, and how I've came to my conclusion was stated above. I wasn't accusing them, I was moreso asking if it could've been possible, because again, we definitely didn't pull her reports, and hadn't for a long time, so to me, it couldn't have been anyone else.

What i would do, I would order 1 of my reports from MyFico!!!!  Look it over and see what you can find out.

Anything is possible but in this case I think improbable.  That website is for the consumer, not for business use.  If you find out 100% for certain this happened they did a big no no.  This is the website the federal government has stated we get our free annual reports from.

My other thought was they mixed up SSN or something like that.  It has happend before.  Your mom may need to contact them by phone.

Re: Company pulled my mom's credit report off annualcreditreport.com?

Okay I will add my 3 cents.

First they do ask questions to verify information. But knowing first hand there are very good scams going on it really is hard to distinguish.

ID theft is a big money making opportunity. I have seen more unethical things that people have fallen for it makes my stomach turn that they were a victim.

My comment was just giving notice that it could be a scam. I know myself personally would monitor my credit with hawk eyes ( not that I dont monitor them now. Lol) if this happened to myself. I would also be looking into every avenue to see how legit the company is.

Even with that being said there are scams mirroring companies for this type of purpose.

So no matter how I turn this situation it still calls for me to monitor my reports, bank statements for unknown withdrawals etc etc.

And as far as pulling free reports with questions asked to prove identity as someone who pulls credit many of the questions I ask for application process gives me 90% of the information needed. Guess thats why us ethical folks are fingerprinted and screened constantly.

All in all you may be correct and nothing to worry about, but since Im an*l I would still pay very close attention to it.

Just my 3 cents.

Good Luck
May all your dreams and wishes become a reality!
