well, not sure confession is good for the soul or not, hope folks here will still speak to and help me with questions.

Not really sure how it got this screwed up except neglect and not caring. Now I am hittin'40 and would like to own a decent car, and maybe buy a house someday.

So the sojourn begins............

700's here I come............before I am 80 i hope.

Also, do not have lots of available cash to spend PFDing, or paying out these accounts, but I will be doing it as I can. I will just have to hope a few secured CC's and a little luck will slowly improve my scores.

Re: Confession Good for the Soul?

I would like to say that in my short time in this forum, I have learned many tricks to helping my score.  A month ago I would have said you would be better off filing bankrupcy, which could put you in a position 3 years from now of having a score above 600. But I dont know what will help you besides what you suggested at the end of your post.  I want to watch and see what the pros (super-contributors) say.  Good Luck

You can edit it  Smiley Happy
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Yes, yes, you can edit it, listen to Midnight.  Cause I'm not going to lie to you, my eyes crossed over trying to read it.

Re: Confession Good for the Soul?

If you go to "options", top right of the post, you can go to "edit" and then add a few carriage returns  Smiley Happy

BK is a hard decision...i filed in Oct 05 and have raised my scores my the 400's to a high of 653 and a middle fico of 642. If i could do it all over again,..i'd probably try and pay everything off and not file for BK. I can't change what i did, but i can change what I do from now on. I went from knowing nothing about credit, to knowing some, which is better than none. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle. Smiley Very Happy
