3:45 p.m. April 4 — The Guam Police Department has arrested a 37-year-old woman for allegedly stealing money from a local collections agency.
Jocelyn Patrice Babauta, of Agana Heights, was arrested on 17 counts of theft of property held in trust, said GPD spokesman Officer Allan Guzman.
Guzman said the former employee of the Marianas Collection Agency was allegedly keeping payments that were made to the agency.
The money stolen totaled well over $1800. Guzman said the case has been ongoing since last year, but Babauta has been on the run.
Guzman said new complaints against Babauta continue to come in and the case is ongoing. In the meantime, she has been booked and confined

Be careful when dealing with Collection Agencies. Hound them about payments sent, like they hound you about payments not received!!!
