Credit History

Why would my credit history for EQ & TU be 5 years and my credit history for EX be 12 years? I am 40 years old...I have credit history.

Re: Credit History

I think they go by the age of the oldest account in your credit history. Do you have older accounts listed on some that are not on the other?

Re: Credit History

Maybe a whole lot of good standing closed acounts, inactive acts fell off... they only stay for 10 years. I also do think it is the AVERAGE of all of the acount date...
(Someone can correct me if Im wrong)

Re: Credit History

From what I can tell, there are two "ages". My oldest is 12 years, my average is 6 years. I have a "short credit history". I think it's based on the 6 years.
