Re: Credit Karma vs Credit Sesame

CS updates the score once a month. I find it to be useful in tracking the general direction my score is heading over time. While CK seems to update information more quickly, not once have I seen my score change in around 4 months of using their service.

Re: Credit Karma vs Credit Sesame

I find these services most useful for seeing how changes in your credit profile (higher utilization, new cards, etc.) affect your credit score. They don't necessarily reflect your nominal credit score accurately, but it's hard to complain when something is free.

Re: Credit Karma vs Credit Sesame

MyFico says I have a 572, CS says 650, CK 596. I have no idea which to believe. I just got approved for Victoria Secret credit card with a $350 limit on Friday so I don't believe that 572 is accurate.

Not sure what I'm paying for.

In my Wallet CapOne Cash Back $3000, Apple FCU $1000 Victoria Secret $500, CapOne Journey $1000, Amazon.com $800

its accurate for that algorithm if you will.

Different lenders use different scoring models.

No way to know which one until you apply or you find an answer on here.

Re: Credit Karma vs Credit Sesame

The EQ could be right.  It seems my EQ is always my lowest score. Probably due to the fact that most of my inquiries are on that report.  On MyFico my EQ is 635, but my TU is 660-670ish.  Perhaps VS could have pulled your EX or TU.

Re: Credit Karma vs Credit Sesame

I just got the alert from Experian so now I know they pulled from that bureau. This may not be the right place to ask but if I've never had a car loan would that make my auto enhanced higher or lower. I'm debating if I should wait another month to apply for a loan or just pull the trigger. I'm worried that my score will result in a double digit interest rate.

Also have CapOne MC $1500 and Apple FCU VISA $1000 in my wallet.

Thanks FICO community.

Re: Credit Karma vs Credit Sesame

Your auto enhanced score will be higher if you have good auto loan payment history. It will be lower if you have bad or no auto loan history.

Re: Credit Karma vs Credit Sesame

hmmm that is weird that you all get close scores. My credit is almost 90 points higher on CS that CK. My credit score seems to be calculated differently on each site. CK says a score of 576 while CS says 661. Thats a big jump as one is very poor and one is average. I dont do much with my CS or CC's except a small loan to boost it up which resulted in 21 on time payments not to mention i have 0 derogatory marks on my CS. its all quite confusing to me
