Credit Line Increase - Enquiry made by Credit Card Company

I increased my limit on my MBNMA credit card but have a now been notified that MBNA have made an enquiry on my credit file which I  did not know they would do - will this affect my credit score ? - is there anything I can do if this causes the score to be lowered ?

Many CCCs do a hard inq if you aslk for a CL increase.  Too many inqs in a year will slightly reduce your score (up to 10%)

Are you sure this was MBNA and not FIA or BoA? MBNA was taken over by BoA. Some card holders including myself have FIA reporting the TL and not BoA. They never pulled a hard inq when I asked for a CLI.
