Woke up on Christmas morning to an email from Credit Sesame.
Subject: Credit Monitoring Alert
Message: You have 1 Credit Usage alert
Logged in to Credit Sesame to learn one of my credit cards went from 10% to 0% usage. Thank you Credit Sesame!

FYI, the card is Fidelity Investment Rewards AMEX (serviced by FIA), the statement date is 12/22, the credit alert date in the email is 12/24, and the actual email was received 12:35am Christmas Day.

what does that even mean? that u paid off a balance? why is that even worthy of monitoring since it's something you would already know from setting up that payment

True. But what if utilization had gone from 0% to 80% without me buying anything?
I think credit monitoring worked exactly as it was supposed to... to alert me of changes. And it's up to me to decide if it is abnormal activity that warrants further investigation.
