Wow....apply for a credit card two months ago, get denied. FICO score goes up 6 points due to HP.....apply for a credit card last week, instant approval ($4k CL), FICO score drops 6 points due to HP. This credit "game" is so confusing...smh
Hard inqs won't ever reward you. You will usually take a hit to your FICO scores, or no change in your scores. FICO scoring has a ton of moving parts. It's certainly possible something else changed on your report when the new inq hit your report and your score went up 6 points.
