I've read that the statute of limitations runs off a date on the account in which they cant collect like 3 years after that date. Is that date the Date Reported date on the account? I am asking because I am using the trial on Transunion and it shows changes in each field with an indicator with the before and after value. On one collection, the Date Reported was 7/21/2009 on my credit report from 7/30/09 and on the refreshed credit report I got today, the Date Reported is 7/27/2009. Are they trying to extend the date out to keep the SOL from expiring?
