Digital credit union credit report

I just joined and wondered if having a checking and savings account qualifies me for the free credit report and is it an equifax report?

Any consumer is entitled to request his or her credit report once annually.  If they have a file on you, they must provide the free report of its content.

The key is whether anyone has reported to them, and thus whether you have a file.
