Diputing account on my credit report

I diputed a collection that was $1608.00 the origional was reported at $1607.00 The collection agency then sent me a bill for $1.00 less then origionally reported. MCM also dropped another bill on my report by $1.00. What steps do I need to take to remove their inaccuracies?  Did this restart the statute of limitations?

Re: Diputing account on my credit report

If you feel that the balance is inaccurate, you can dispute its accuracy.

However, even if inaccurate, the outcome is not deletion of the collection from your credit report, it would be correction of the balance.

A difference of $1,00 borders on trivial, and could simply be due to their rounding mehtod.

It is not basis for getting anything deleted.
