Disputed and won a collectionto be removed and now another collection agency bought it. Help Please

Hello Again, I had won a dispute with directtv's collection agency and it was removed from all my reports. NOW I got a notice today that another collection agency has bought it and I have 30 days to dispute the validation.

Do I send them a letter saying this account was an error in collection and send them a copy that it was removed from my credit files?

Or what is the next step here I can't have this show up again when it was never valid in the first place.

DV the new CA.  A dispute with a CRA has no effect over the ability to sell the account - however not validating might (I could make a good argument for that and they may even be probitited from doing so until they validate - gotta run that down) 

Forgot the CRAs in the process (the CA is obligated to reort the account as disputed within 5 days) and just DV the CA.

Should I show prooff it was already deleted from the CRA's or does that not matter?

This is my concern. I was given a 30 day free trial of directtv and I cancelled and sent all equipment back within the 30 day trial. Actually like 2 weeks before it was up lol. They sent me a letter showing 550.00 balance.and I called directtv and they said it would be taken care of. Then later on I got a CA notice and went into collections.

I disputed with the CRA's and told them about the trial offer. It was then removed from all 3 CRA's. Now someonhow this got bought from another CA.

What are the chances if I DV that they will just send me the orig bill from Directtv and I would be stuck. Although if it goes on the CRA's again I could just copy the dispute from the CRA's showing it was removed and they would remove it right?

Sorry, Just don't want to go through all this repair and then get smacked in the face again with the same bull and just dropping my score back down

bott,  I would say that the reason that it was deleted was because they sold the account. The CRAs do not care about anything BUT what is reported from the furnisher.

All you can do is DV the CA     do you have proof of when you cancelled & returned the equip.?

I was thinking since I won the dispute they then sold the account but your prob right,.

So I just send the usual DV letter then I guess. Right now nothing new has come up on my reports so I think they have to wait 30 days for me to dispute from the orig letter before they can start reporting.

It was a long time ago and I had kept the fedex reciepts with tracking #'s showing the equip was sent back and once I talked to a mgr at directtv and was told everything was taken care of I like a fool threw them away,

I have no proof now. I guess I could always call Directtv again..

I would call them   it sure can't hurt.  They might send you something that says Bal $0  as of  whatever the date was
