How do you get a dispute removed from your reports?

Re: Disputes...

You'll need to contact the company that is reporting the debt, either the collection agent or the original creditor. Most will require that you provide a written statement that you're no longer disputing the debt. They'll submit an update to the bureaus and the dispute note will be removed.

Re: Disputes...

If the dispute was resolved, meaning you received a Notice of Results of Reinvestigation from the CRA, they need to preserve the dispute as being possibly relevant to duture reporting of a reinsertion or to determine if a subsequent dispute is a renewed dispute that is substantially the same as a piror dispute.

Thus, it it unlikely that a CRA will delete its records of a prior, concluded dispute.

However, if your issue is one of merely updating to show that a prior dispute was concluded, the CRA can and should update without a problem.
