Do creditors hate Equifax?

Is it me or do creditors not really report to Equifax?

I am using TrueCredit for my credit reports and it currently shows that not a single credit card or loan account that I have seems to report any updates to them, except for my 2 30 day lates, it just has the white "Unknown" blocks or has nothing. Why is this? Is it that TrueCredit is not working right or is it that they are just not reporting?

Thanks!
FAKO

I've never had any problems with Equifax reporting - one loan and 4 CCs, there is an entry for every month. I don't use TrueCredit - but maybe that has something to do with it???

Re: Do creditors hate Equifax?

Probably TrueCredit issue. I'm having the same problem through TC but with TU, not EQ.

Re: Do creditors hate Equifax?

TrueCredit doesn't display the green squares for EQ, so you have to check the dates that it most recently updated. You can either click "more about this account," and look at the date reported there, or click "printable report" and it will all display.

EQ doesn't list the day of the month that an account updated, even on their own website, so maybe this is why you don't get the green squares.

But as long as there is a current date showing in the text field, it's still being updated on TC. Just one of their weird display quirks.

edit: Schnapple, your TU issue might be more from the fact that TU is so far behind updating everything for a lot of people! Check for the date reported on the TU areas, and see if they have February or March 08 dates. Even when they do, they might not show the green squares for the most recent month. But if the dates are old, it just means that TU still hasn't caught up on its reporting.

Also, I find EQ to be the slowest to update out of all of the CRA, well for me at least.

Pull your reports and scores from my fico.  They are the real scores and they will help you with dispute letters.  true credit are FAKOS.

Re: Do creditors hate Equifax?

TrueCredit scores are FAKO's. The reports are fine, except for some display quirks that all secondary reports sometimes have, including myFICO.

As casinoannie said, the full reports that you can get from the CRA's have all the details. What happens with all of these things is that the data from the full report is mapped over to the secondary reports (TrueCredit, myFICO, CreditSecure, etc.) Sometimes the data fields on the secondary reports aren't linked correctly to the source reports (the CRA originals,) and so things display in a funky manner, or don't show up at all.

It's like any translation of a book, a movie, anything else--sometimes it's a perfect version, sometimes you sit back and say, "Hunh?" But as annie said, the scores are generated from the original reports, so just make sure that they are accurate (ha!) on them, and you'll be OK, despite what you see on TC and the others.
