EQ listing as an Account versus Collection

I have an account on my EQ report that shows as an open account with the description as Collection and a status as 120+ days past due.  This same account shows as a collection on my TU & EX report.

Since it is listed as an account it shows my outstanding balance as $2700 more then what TU & EX show.

Should I dispute this item to get it listed under collection or leave it in the accounts section??  What will help my fico score more at this point?

Who is reporting this account on all three reports? Is it a credit card? What state do you live in?

Re: EQ listing as an Account versus Collection

It is actually two collection agencies.  One is Midland Credit Management which as a balance.  The OC was Citibank.  The second is Palisades Collection Agency which is paid in full.  I live in TX
