Equifax Reporting 2 Scores

How do you go about removing an extra Equifax File? I am the IVth and my dad was the IIIrd. He passed away a number of years ago, but somehow on my report he's being reported also. The problem has occured because they are accurate on his birthday but somehow my SSN is showing as his!

TU 729 - Me - My SSN - My DOB

EQX 695 - Me - My SSN - My DOB

EQX 662 - Him - My SSN - His DOB

EXP 643 - Me - My SSN - My DOB

How do I remove this mistake?

Sounds like you have what is called a "split file". Call EQ and expain the situation.

Vicki Banks is an EQ special handler and she can solve a split quickly.

You could try calling the EQ 800 number and request Vicki Banks in special handling if you don't wanna try Email, but a poster on CIC Emailed her and it was fixed in a week.

I'm told she can be a little terse, but gets the job done.
